London to Paris (the L2P)

The recommended 3-day version is a 195-mile cycle ride, starting in London and ending in Paris, with two overnight stays in Brighton and Forge-Les-Eaux and a daytime ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe to cross the English channel. As far as we’re concerned this is the most ‘fun’ way to do the L2P. Brighton is full of craft pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants and Forge-Les-Eaux in France has two enormous and very affordable casino hotels.

Choose your adventure

We recommend the more relaxed (but still challenging) 3-day version of the L2P, but hardcore groups sometimes choose the ambitious 2-day version which involves a 120 mile epic ride from Dieppe to Paris in one day. Not for the faint hearted!

London to Brighton (75 miles)

The first day is the classic and iconic London to Brighton. Our preferred route is a little longer and, after leaving Greater London, makes use of primarily quiet country lanes. It’s safer and much better for riding side-by-side and socialising as a team.

Brighton to Forge-Les-Eaux (50 miles)

The second day involves a short 10-mile hop from Brighton to Newhaven to catch the late morning ferry to Dieppe and ends with a gentle ride along a disused railway path to Forge-Les-Eaux. It’s a relaxed day in preparation for the final push into Paris.
