WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT THIS TRIP?
For those of you joining in Kemble, our route takes us directly west through the little Cotswold villages of Tarlton and Cherington. After taking in medieval Minchinhampton, the plan is to reach Stroud around 1pm just in time to meet our Stroud group and to enjoy a picnic lunch.
From Stroud, we climb back into the Cotswold Hills and 'traverse' a charming lane cut into the hillside. Keeping away from main roads, we'll meander through Jack's Green and Sheepscombe before taking a well-deserved snack break around Prinknash Abbey Park.
Our next stop is Gloucester where we'll congregate at famous Gloucester Cathedral. The final few miles of our route follow the National Cycle Route between Gloucester and Cheltenham. We aim to arrive at Wychwood by 5.30pm for (no doubt) a well-deserved celebratory beer!
