Chiltern Hills FAQs
I’m travelling alone. Do many people join solo?
Yes! Last year over a half of our riders joined solo. The vibe is super friendly, relaxing and inclusive.
I’m travelling from London. How do I get to Goring & Streatley station to start the ride?
Trains to Goring & Streatley leave from London Paddington every 30 minutes. Direct trains take 1 hour 8 minutes, indirect trains with a change at Reading take just 45 minutes. For those traveling by car, there is a 24 hour car park at Goring & Streatley station.
I don't have access to a bike. Can I hire one?
Yes! We can organise a hybrid, road or electric bike for you. We'll have it waiting for you at the ride start point and we'll take it from you as you finish. You can add on bike hire when you book. We'll just need to know your height so we can choose the right sized bike. Every hired bike comes with a helmet and lock.
How fit do I have to be?
We have graded this ride as 'moderate'. Take a look at our ride grading page to learn more about this.
I'm not a strong cyclist. What if I slow people down?
You won't! There are always two pace groups so you can ride as quickly or as slowly as you like. There will be plenty of breaks and the Red Fox team never leaves anyone behind. We design our rides to give an experience, not to get there as fast as possible.
