We'll leave Cardiff via pretty Ty Mawr Lane by the Drenewydd Reen (for the Welsh speakers!) and, after passing Newport, continue our ride along the well surfaced Monmouthshire and Brecon canal towpath.
After joining our Bristol riders for a well deserved lunch just outside Pontypool, we'll take an offroad cycle path up into the Brecon Beacons and onto Crickhowell.
We'll serve up tasty roadside snacks and drinks along the way and we can even bring you (and your bike) back home on Monday after Green Man.

Cycle to Green Man FAQs
Why would I cycle to Green Man?
It's fun, relaxing, healthy, good for the environment and a great way to make a new group of festival buddies! There are also great perks just for cyclists thanks to the lovely team at Green Man. You'll get £10 off your festival ticket & cycle ride (when purchased as a package), early access to the Green Man festival site, a free beer on site and 'beat the queues' fast track entry!
How do I get my bags and camping equipment to Green Man?
We’ll carry them for you in our Red Fox support van and, if you're riding from Bristol, you’ll have access to them on our overnight camp in Usk.
How do I get my bags and bicycle back home?
We’ll put on a dedicated cyclists coach for you and your bags and we'll take your bike back in our Red Fox support van (costs £22.50 to Cardiff, £25 to Bristol).
Do I have to know the route?
No! There'll be a guide who navigates so you can focus on enjoying the ride.
Do I have to bring my own food?
No! Lunch is included and we'll serve up snacks, tea, coffee & soft drinks to keep you nourished and hydrated. On our overnight camp (if you're riding from Bristol) we’ll book the group into a local country pub for a well-deserved dinner.
Do I have to be a hardcore cyclist to take part?
No! There will likely be two pace groups so you can ride as quickly or as slowly as you like. There will be plenty of breaks and the Red Fox team never leaves anyone behind. We design our rides to give an experience, not to get there as fast as possible.
I’m travelling solo. Can I join?
Of course! About a third of our riders travel solo. The Red Fox guides are welcoming and friendly, and it's a great way to meet other Green Man adventurers.
