Positions Available: Tour Leader (London)
Duration:
- 2-month temporary contract (July – August 2020)
Responsibilities:
- Lead preparations for cycling tours (equipment and paperwork)
- Deliver end to end group cycling experiences, ensuring tours run smoothly and efficiently and that every rider has the best possible experience
- Direct and manage teams of up to 5 on-road cycling guides
- Drive Red Fox support van
- Load and unload bags, camping equipment and bicycles where necessary
- Conduct rider registration
- Ensure a treatment strategy is in place and implemented for special medical conditions and dietary requirements
- Set up and ‘run’ snack and lunch stops
- Pre pitch tents, air mats and travel pillows on overnight rides
- Communicate with suppliers (campsites, cafés and pubs) and nominated festival contacts to coordinate arrival times
- Support team with ‘clean down and prep’, ensuring Red Fox Cycling equipment is ready for the ride each day
Skills required:
- Experience as a Tour Leader or Event Manager in the travel, tourism or hospitality sector
- Excellent planning, organisational and decision-making skills
- High energy and unwavering commitment to delivering first class experiences
- Confidence and ability to direct and manage a team
- Valid First Aid certificate from an accredited body
- Full clean Drivers license
Pay & benefits:
- £100 per day (charged days as per timesheet)
- Free weekend festival tickets
- Festival specific perks e.g. hot showers, drinks vouchers, free programmes
- Red Fox Cycling guide t-shirts and hoodie
- Use of company vehicle during contract
Expenses, training & insurance:
- All meal expenses covered during tours (except dinner on overnight camps)
- Camping equipment as needed
- Employers Liability insurance cover
- Food Hygiene L2 training.
