London to Cambridge (the L2C)
This is a 137-mile cycle ride, starting in London and ending in Amsterdam, with an overnight ferry from Harwich in Suffolk to the Hook of Holland in the Netherlands to cross the North Sea.
Choose your adventure
Groups tend to take on the 2-day version of the L2A, typically setting off on a Friday morning, arriving just in time to hit the bars and restaurants of Central Amsterdam on Saturday evening. Weekday only and weekend only options (from Saturday to Sunday) work just as well.
London to Harwich (78 miles)
The first day from London to Harwich is a fairly long 75 miles and we always recommend a quiet route which cuts across the beautiful open countryside of Essex and Suffolk.
Hook of Holland to Amsterdam (59 miles)
The second day is a more relaxed, gentle, flatter ride along the North Sea coastline using primarily cycle paths. The Netherlands is famous for its cycling infrastructure. There are numerous wonderful venues to choose from for lunch, beach clubs as the locals call them, and we (sshh!) know which the best ones are.
Our experienced team can create a picturesque, risk-assessed achievable route based on the cycling capability of your group. We provide experienced, professionally qualified, first aid trained ride leaders to perform pre ride bike checks, navigate, coach, time-keep and fix mechanical issues as they occur.
We will support from our Red Fox vehicle carrying your kit. Our van is also racked and kitted out to deal with adverse situations such as serious mechanicals, weather and rider injuries.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) is a major international hub and there are regular flights from Amsterdam to all major UK airports. We can organise repatriation of your bikes back to London using a combination of our custom-designed bicycle roof rack and haulage partners.
